About Father Thomas R. Maikowski
Father Thomas R. Maikowski, Ph.D. displays creative energy and spiritual leadership in his role as Pastoral Administrator at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Page, Arizona. Father Thomas R. Maikowski has served the Roman Catholic faith for over three decades.
In May, Father Thomas R. Maikowski led his congregation in a special Sunday Mass to celebrate Pentecost. In a style to accent the grandeur and inspiration of the holiday’s origins, Father Maikowski assembled music, art, and performances for the ceremony. Father Thomas Maikowski also oversaw instruction to the adult ministers, child acolytes, and fourth-degree Knights of Columbus who participated in the liturgy.
Father Maikowski began studying theology at Saint Francis de Sales College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After obtaining his B.A. degree, Thomas Maikowski took a Master of Sciences in Education from Indiana’s Saint Francis College. For 20 years more, Thomas Maikowski delved into the studies of religion and education. Father Thomas Maikowski graduated from the Saint Louis University with a Ph.D. in education and obtained his Ed.D from the University of San Francisco two years later.
Thomas R. Maikowski utilized his extensive knowledge to teach high school students. Father Thomas Maikowski took his first role as administrator and teacher at the Cathedral High School in Gallup. Maikowski was quickly promoted to Principal and, in the same year, became Superintendent of Schools.
Father Thomas R. Maikowski also acted as a chaplain for the United States Air Force Reserve. In over 25 years of service, Maikowski won half a dozen medals for his assistance. Father Maikowski continues to serve the Air Force Academy as an Admissions Liaison Officer.
